Jeff Holand, Highly Talented Resident of Meridian MS, Dons The Captain America Costume He Made By His Own Hands.

Jeff, or Brin Londo, his alias for a world of comics and characters he admires and appreciates, met up with me at the historic building downtown Meridian with the Uneeda Biscuit sign at the top to do the first of a series of shoots of his hand made costumes.

Combining his ability to "get in character" and a five studio light set up, we came up with some really neat images that were dramatically appropriate to the fantasy world of comics.  The army green paint on the weathered brick wall, added that sense of the '40s which is when this last movie was set.  I added my post session techniques that allowed the images to "pop" much like the old raised tin metal images used in the 1950s for about every product on the market.  To further push the boundries of realism closer to that of the comic world, I experimented, taking a technique that I use often and changing it slightly so that I could paint with light.  This gave mood and a sense of energy and motion to still photography images.  I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

Also, if you get a chance to hear Jeff's band,  do so.  You can find information about it on Facebook.  JeffHollandBand.
